First-Ever Public Speaking & Debate Summer School in Armenia — Successfully Completed!
From July 14 to August 8, Armenia hosted a historic and transformative educational initiative — the Public Speaking & Debating Summer School, jointly organized by Koreez Educational and Integrated Solutions & Development (ISD).
Led by Mr Edward, a Harvard-trained public speaking and debate expert with over a decade of international experience, this 4-week intensive program brought world-class methods of communication, persuasion, and reasoning to Armenian youth for the very first time.
With only 9 carefully selected participants, including 4 scholarship recipients sponsored by ISD, the Summer School ensured a deeply personalised, interactive, and growth-focused experience.
Throughout the four transformational weeks:
– Students learned to structure arguments and speak persuasively in English
– They explored global and social issues through debates, rhetorical workshops, and team challenges
– They practised respectful disagreement, teamwork, and critical thinking
– And they received individual feedback to strengthen both their skills and self-confidence
The program culminated in a Live Public Debate Showcase, where participants impressed their peers, families, and instructors by delivering powerful speeches in English — on complex topics, with clarity, logic, and courage.
The result?
Students and parents alike are already asking:
“When will the next program take place?”
The answer: More initiatives are already on the horizon.
